This simple wrap skirt has great style. It includes pockets, a curved hem, and a hem facing that makes for a clean and elegant finish. (The hem facing is also a great place to add a pop of contrast colour.) The invisible closure on the skirt is made with buttons. Youll love how this extremely versatile skirt dresses up or down. Suggested Fabrics; Suitable for light to medium weight woven fabrics with moderate drape like chambray, lightweight canvas, sateen, twill, wool suiting, crepe, and brocade. Use self fabric or a lightweight lining fabric for the pocket bag and hem facing. Notions; Coordinating thread, four 1 2inch or 5 8inch buttons (or three buttons and one large hook and eye), and lightweight woven fusible or sew in interfacing. Optional: In place of making the hem facing, you can use 1inch single fold bias binding or 1 2inch double fold bias binding. (If you use packaged bias binding, you will only need a piece of lining approximately 12inch long by 20inch wide for the pocket facing instead of the suggested amount of fabric for the facings.)
